Business Leaders of America
When one such entrepreneur was asked about the hardest decision he ever had to make, he answered that he did not know what a hard decision was. An entrepreneur will approach decision-making with the idea that there´s a strong likelihood that he/she will be wrong. This does not dissuade them to the contrary they just do the best they can and worry about handling obstacles as they arise.
Here are a few top entrepreneurs in the U.S.:
Tero International
This week in Iowa, politics is in the air. Yet it doesn´t take caucus time for politicians to wreak havoc on the way the public perceives them. The minute they decide to run for office, constituents are sizing them up. What factors into a candidate managing the impression people form of them rather than damaging it? Tero International, an Iowa based group of interpersonal skills experts, exposes how candidates "damage" vs. "manage" their public perception. 1) There is going to be mudslinging. Let´s face it, it doesn´t matter how unruffled a candidate´s hair looks or how many jobs they may create, the mud will be slung. No amount of attractiveness or factual attributes will prevent this. How the mud is slung varies from campaign to campaign. In fact, few candidates through history have been above slinging whatever mud they could find. 2) Sex sells. Whether we like it or not, sex somehow always seems to seep into the U.S. political scene. We are a country founded on moral principles, yet for some reason subjects like sex appeal, fidelity, gender and ethical views are continually challenged in campaigns. They have become negatively embedded (no pun intended) into the political landscape and our experience of it. 3) It´s a new ball game. Gone are the days where newspapers were the only (and often inaccurate) account of a candidate´s character. Today´s candidates aren´t just concerned with how they're perceived in the press or even on T.V., but on social media sites and the internet. Communication is no longer local. One misstated remark in the past could die with that audience. Today it´s replayed around the world. Thanks to YouTube and video cameras on cell phones there is no such thing as "off the record". There is no margin for error.

Art People Gallery for visual artist Mike Elsass
From Quebec to the Gulf Coast winter and the Louisiana swamps, Mike Elsass draws his energy from nature and from life. The Arizona desert and the Kentucky countryside blend his art. Elsass is a wanderer; whenever the energy of a place attracts him, he stops and tries to absorb and then reinvent it. He is dedicated to landscapes that reflect the moment of the soul; his abstracts, painted on rusted sheets of steel, have emotional and visual connections with places of choice and memories beyond the present. Elsass sees the aging of the metals and its imperfections as a mirror of the human condition, and his spiritual search finds its expression in the fusion of light and texture. Each of his painted reflections pulls the viewer into a world of meditation and serenity. Today, Elsass´ creations can be seen at Art People Gallery where his work is on permanent exhibit.

Ideal Tax Solution
Ideal Tax Solution is urging clients and American tax payers to take advantage of many tax credits that the IRS offers. However, tax credits are only available for a limited time after the end of a year. Low and moderate income workers can take steps now to save for retirement and earn a special tax credit in 2011 and the years ahead, according to the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS wants to encourage Americans to contribute to their retirement funds, and what better way than to offer a tax credit? They released news stating "The saver´s credit helps offset part of the first $2,000 workers voluntarily contribute to IRAs and to 401(k) plans and similar workplace retirement programs. Also known as the retirement savings contributions credit, the saver´s credit is available in addition to any other tax savings that apply." While it is the end of the year, the opportunity for this tax credit is still readily available, and will continue to be for a few months. In an IRS newsletter they state "Eligible workers still have time to make qualifying retirement contributions and get the saver´s credit on their 2011 tax return. People have until April 17, 2012, to set up a new individual retirement arrangement or add money to an existing IRA and still get credit for 2011. However, elective deferrals must be made by the end of the year to a 401(k) plan or similar workplace program, such as a 403(b) plan for employees of public schools and certain tax-exempt organizations, a governmental 457 plan for state or local government employees, and the Thrift Savings Plan for federal employees. Employees who are unable to set aside money for this year may want to schedule their 2012 contributions soon so their employer can begin withholding them in January. The saver´s credit can be claimed by: Married couples filing jointly with incomes up to $56,500 in 2011 or $57,500 in 2012; Heads of Household with incomes up to $42,375 in 2011 or $43,125 in 2012; and Married individuals filing separately and singles with incomes up to $28,250 in 2011 or $28,750 in 2012."

Bio-Logic Aqua Research
Sharon Kleyne, host of the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio talk show and Founder of Bio-Logic Aqua Research, recently interviewed Alan Taylor, PhD, of the Tufts University Laboratory for Nutrition and Vision Research. The topic was the growing world blindness rate. Dr. Taylor offered some simple, proactive nutrition suggestions for preventing blindness. The interview may be heard on-demand on World Talk Radio, Voice America, Green Talk Network, Apple iTunes and Twitter. According to Sharon Kleyne, the blindness rate is growing worldwide and in the United States. Leading causes, worldwide, are cataracts (50% of blindness – increasing as you age), glaucoma, age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy (increasing in the US), trachoma (a viral infection of the eye), onchocerciasis (or "river blindness," common in Africa), and leprosy. There are 42 million blind people in the world, with 1.5 million in the US. An estimated 70% to 80% of blindness is preventable or treatable. In developing countries, where the blindness rate is much higher, the treatable rate is also much higher. Blindness is increasing In the United States at a lower rate and with less treatable causes. Cataracts remain the #1 cause of blindness (and are easily repaired) but blindness related to air pollution, dry eye, dehydration, obesity and poor diet (such as diabetic retinopathy) is increasing. According to Dr. Taylor, by taking care of your eyes and eating the correct "food for the eyes," you can significantly lessen the chances of age-related eye diseases such as macular degeneration, cataracts and chronic dry eye. Sharon Kleyne adds that water is one of the most important eye foods.
