A recent Harvard University study has shown that driving while talking on a cell phone has caused over 200 deaths and a half a million injuries each year.
Staring this July the first, cell phone usage while driving will be outlawed in Orange County and all other counties in California. The hopeful results of outlawing cell phone usage while driving are many.

The driver will not be driving one handed while talking on his cell phone anymore but will have both hands on the steering wheel. The work traffic commute should improve, as more people will be paying attention to the road, therefore fewer accidents will be holding up the commute. Road rage may actually be lessened. Many people do get irate when someone cuts them off while using a cell phone. Cell phone drivers do not seem to be aware when they have cut someone off because their mind is being occupied on the phone conversation instead of their surrounding.
